Cafe Racer reel

Fall 2025

A popular Athens spot is expanding, kind of. Just steps from the University of Georgia on Oak Street, a Cafe Racer appears ready for action on the outside, but the covered windows and construction tape says otherwise.

Without official announcements, no countdowns, and little mention of the project on social media, the public is left asking questions.

Chana Refson: Profile Story

In a college town where many students spend Friday nights away from home, one couple is redefining what community looks like Athens.

Chana Refson, an Orthodox Jewish mother of nine—and her husband, Micheol, co-direct Chabad at UGA. Each week, Chabad hosts hundred of UGA students in their own home for shabbat, classes, and other gatherings. Jewish students from all backgrounds come together to her backyard for connection, faith, and community. Refson home-cooks every meal, offers support for the students, and provides a "home away from home" for every Jewish student navigating college at UGA.
