Creative, Storyteller, Photographer
I am a recent cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where I earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism and Theatre, along with a Musical Theatre Certificate. I am passionate about all things creative, including digital design, photography, writing, art, music, and storytelling. My goal is to build a meaningful career in media and creativity, whether through marketing, design, writing, or brand strategy.
During my time at UGA, I served as Director of Marketing and Engagement for DiGamma Kappa, the Broadcast Society at Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. I was also selected for the Propelling Achievement for the Workplace (PAW) Program, a professional development initiative designed to prepare students for success beyond college.
In addition to my academic and leadership experience, I have managed my own small business, Mara’s Letters, since December 2021. What began as a passion project has grown into a creative platform where I design and sell personalized artwork to buyers across the country.
I also completed marketing internships with Atlanta Party Connection and Emory CHARTER, the Center for Children’s Health Assessment, Research Translation, and Combating Environmental Risk. At Atlanta Party Connection, I managed social media accounts and created digital content to promote events and engage audiences. At Emory CHARTER, I created branded social content and graphics, tracked performance through marketing analytics, and supported community engagement through audience-focused strategy.
Beyond journalism and marketing, I remained actively involved in theatre, especially through NextAct, UGA’s musical theatre student organization, where I previously served as Associate Artistic Director. I was also a member of Shop With a Bulldog, an organization that fundraises each year to take underprivileged Athens-area students holiday shopping, and I participated in Jewish student organizations including Chabad and Hillel.
My experiences across journalism, theatre, marketing, design, and community engagement have shaped me into a collaborative, adaptable, and creative communicator. I am excited to bring my passion for storytelling, connection, and creativity into the next chapter of my professional career.
